Holiday boredom. It’s white outside. And um, people are never who you think they are. That sucks.

In the wake of healing brokenness, I find myself extremely distracted by a brain that goes in circles on the same highly fueled subject. UHG.

Yes, uhg is a highly fueled subject. And that song, Brass In Pocket, is really stuck in my head. Gunna make you, make you, make you no-o-tice. Nothing special’s been happenin’, just work and x-files and cleaning and taxes, all with the undertones of uhg lately but with time… hoping that’ll change.

Oh. And my car has been recalled for suspension problems. But for some reason they want to check my car at the dealership we bought it from… which just so happens to be hundreds of miles away. So once things are settled here a little better, I’ll try to find some time to get up to IL and pray to some car deity that the suspension is fine, or at least fine enough for another big trip.

You can pray too, even if you’re not all that spiritual. Really, I don’t mind. Not at all O_O;

I’ve zig-zagged all over America and I cannot find a safety haven, say – would you let me cry, on your shoulder?  I’ve heard that you’ll try anything twice.  Close your eyes.

Was wondering where I picked up that phrase.

EDIT:  SPIDER CRICKET SIGHTING. Small one, in the bathroom, on my dirty jeans. No. No. No.  I grabbed a shoe and squished it to death.  If they’re back, if they’ve found me again… I will show no mercy this time. Not this time, not this place!

power’s back but my computer situation hasn’t improved yet… lacking in motivation to crawl under my desk and hook up more USBs to the ancient but sturdy comp, which has just been connected to the net for the first time in an oh-so-very long time.

if motivation does strike, hopefully it’s to finish this painting or to maybe finally invest in one of those tablet laptops… then I can return tablets which are not mine and get on with the whole CG thing again.

Until then though, I bring my extremely low viewership one really blurry, badly-colored progress report on the bumpy cardboard lady:

Recently spent a fortune on new art supplies and did a bad, bad thing – painted, in bed. Hah;

More cardboard, filled this with marker-inkings and covered the girl in chalk pastels, which was a mistake… by more than you know. I hate chalk with a passion, why I decided to use them is way past me at this point. Rubbed those away and started smudging her face with wet acrylics.

Cardboard texture… sometimes it works, other times, it’s like riding along on those incredibly bumpy back roads. Thinking we’ll add in some cosmos, some mythological references… lots of astrological goodness with aliens and tractors and stuff~~ flash vs. yellowfied-non-flash:

august rush, a simple play on a classic story with a taste for all things music. not a bad combo, plus – guitar slapping… reminds me of two things:

books are a theme this week… though the subject leans more in the asp php whatchamacallit direction lately. not quite as fun, you know, unless asp and php somehow hook up through a mutual scripting friend only to fall madly in and out of love for several years until one day, after many bad jokes relating to language errors and financial mishaps involving a flash based monkey widget invoking the ‘blue screen of death’ – they stage an online bank heist and put the money towards developing a magical new framework where they both live happily ever after (which would most likely include several odd years of therapeutic debugging).

it could be a dramedy. O_o;

I’m such a nerd. *sigh*
