Yes, Kansas. Yes, Carry on. It’s appropriate… My brother told me deaths come in 3′s, and I thought he meant family deaths or deaths of those close. Seems I was mistaken. In a matter of a week, there have been 3 deaths. Falling like dominos…

Most important to me: 11/18/2009 Uncle Gary, rest his soul.

All I can say is please let this be it for while. Please let this be it, and then I’ll be thankful for something worth being thankful for.

The art of palm reading has always been kinda fascinating. It’s like your hands are this epic, ever-changing road map to life’s possibilities.

So if you haven’t figured it out by now, got my palm read last week… it was a thanks for helping with some paperwork over the summer. I’ve always wanted someone to help me figure out all these crisscrossing lines on my hands, and she threw in a few card readings too.

And we had beer, Molson, like Prelude. For some reason, I was expecting all shades of negativity and dark, damned future but the overall consensus, according to my left hand at least, was positive. Positivity has never been a strong point here, and while things change at every crossroad, I found comfort in the prospect of that positivity.

When I got home later that night, decided to write down all she said (that my brain could remember of course)…

Scattered:

Queen of Ones

indecisive foundation

intuition

wisdom

2 “marriages”
– relationships, one was very early and ended badly, there will be a huge gap between that one and the next- 5 maybe 10 years – 2nd supposedly lasts forever

surrounded by children throughout my life =/
– 2 children will be mine, either by birth or adoption, unclear

2 dark haired men, one young and one older
– one will be going through a breakup/divorce soon, it’ll be very rough on him but once he’s ready to move on, he may be ready to move on with me, mwaha
– the other is trustworthy, dependable, though maybe a little boring or unambitious

light haired, light eyed man who’s been a huge influence, great love is here but it may never be mutual

fate line shattered

cross lines – intuition/psychic

Someone is jealous of my talents or something I possess, envious but not in a vicious way

will lose something, might not be important, but I didn’t wanna lose it

loooooong ass life line, irony noted

again, surrounded by *lots* of children, mostly teens, gross

travel, all throughout life, especially in later life

a goal
– once I decide to do it (see indecisiveness), I will achieve it and great success and happiness will come with it
– goal can be life changing (see success and happiness)

as time goes on, I live a happy life that just keeps on gettin’ better, gettin’ better, all the time

family is not my source of joy (she let this slip after the reading)

happy childhood, but something went terribly wrong during my teen years so the happiness went away

some of the cards I got:
hanged man card
can’trememberwhichcardbut -> malaise(??) reversed
knight of pentacles reversed
– find security

throughout my whole life, I will have what I need – not necessarily what I want, but always what I need

all of my “friends” are going to be interested in this dark haired man, whichever and whenever he appears

Mama was sorta like “so, she didn’t tell you anything new then…” Hah! Life is whatever you make it, and I strongly believe in that, but it doesn’t make examining or exploring the “mystical” unknowingest parts of life any less fun.

And to wrap things up, a frog playing host to a creepy looking spider in my bathroom:

“I’m wondering whether this fear of being alone might be why you choose to go out with so many different men…?”
“Well, I mean, I don’t think I’d go out with so many if anyone would call me back…”

Ready for some randomness? Rhetorical:

Some people are just really terrible at being alone. Henna smells effing weird and can turn your hair green. Vodka is my friend, one of those really ornery asshole-like friends. I accidentally made a client’s website disappear from Google for a week. That was fun. I’m going to be a goddess for Halloween and chuck Zeus’s thunderbolt candies at kiddies. Toga? Mini-Mighty-Spider is living on top of my monitor, he’s hella cute… think I’ll call him George. My back hurts like a pregnant woman giving birth to a spiky demon. I want the rest of this year to be over with so no one has to deal with holiday madness. Oh yeah, yesterday, the weirdo stray cat living on our porch got into a hissing fight with some neighbor’s gato. For about 40 minutes all they did was hiss and growl and jut their tails back and forth. Neither would budge, most annoying crap ever. Broke another string on that damn guitar and this time it split my finger open, sonofahblah.

It makes typing really killer. And to top off finger pain, and you know why that’s already bad enough right (?), Catherine’s heart is still a little broken. Like, it’s sparky things are misfiring all over the place. Stupid heart. We really need to find a replacement for it.

horrors with a bite
vampires are not supposed to say “uh oh”

taurus
You don’t need to spend a lot of time planning today because your friends will come through with the necessary details — even if it’s at the last moment. You have something important to learn about relationships now, and the only way you’ll get to the core of your current lesson is by remaining open to how others express their love to you.

cancer
It’s time for you to get moving. You’ve had a few days to process your feelings and think about what’s ahead, but now you cannot put off the inevitable. Instead of waiting for the perfect moment, take the first steps toward your predetermined goal. It may take you a while to get there, so don’t delay any longer.

libra
Even if you’re thinking about your long-term goals, the Sun’s entry into your 2nd House of Basic Values may transform your core beliefs in a way that you can now share with others. Once you are feeling better about yourself, you should be able to increase your income by just showing up and doing your job with a positive attitude.

sagittarius
The Sun’s entry into your 12th House of Imagination may stimulate your fantasies over the weeks ahead, yet manifesting these dreams poses a higher degree of difficulty. Oddly enough, focusing too much on making anything happen can actually delay it now. You’ll need to discover the right amount of force to apply to any situation. Remember, though, these answers come from within.
