Yes, Kansas. Yes, Carry on. It’s appropriate… My brother told me deaths come in 3′s, and I thought he meant family deaths or deaths of those close. Seems I was mistaken. In a matter of a week, there have been 3 deaths. Falling like dominos…

Most important to me: 11/18/2009 Uncle Gary, rest his soul.

All I can say is please let this be it for while. Please let this be it, and then I’ll be thankful for something worth being thankful for.

and I have a feeling that’s the way this one will stay. My fingers twitch every time I try to work on this thing, so much so I can’t keep steady lines and everything turns clumpy. Clumpy is bad, kids, real bad.

power’s back but my computer situation hasn’t improved yet… lacking in motivation to crawl under my desk and hook up more USBs to the ancient but sturdy comp, which has just been connected to the net for the first time in an oh-so-very long time.

if motivation does strike, hopefully it’s to finish this painting or to maybe finally invest in one of those tablet laptops… then I can return tablets which are not mine and get on with the whole CG thing again.

Been a long time since I’ve tried to make anything, missed it but my fingers are rebelling now.

Recently spent a fortune on new art supplies and did a bad, bad thing – painted, in bed. Hah;

More cardboard, filled this with marker-inkings and covered the girl in chalk pastels, which was a mistake… by more than you know. I hate chalk with a passion, why I decided to use them is way past me at this point. Rubbed those away and started smudging her face with wet acrylics.

Cardboard texture… sometimes it works, other times, it’s like riding along on those incredibly bumpy back roads. Thinking we’ll add in some cosmos, some mythological references… lots of astrological goodness with aliens and tractors and stuff~~ flash vs. yellowfied-non-flash:

several layers of acrylic from starting over several times creates strange texture, not too sure what to make of this one:

photo with flash shows more detail, lots of bumps and raised curves. running low on canvases again, might be painting over this one but it’s fun to look at for now.

One of my brothers gave me several canvases for christmas – this meant major sabotage on the few, remaining acrylic tubes laying around:

I’m officially, 100% out of yellow. Again.

You’d think white would be the first to go and strangely, that’s never been the case – all the colors eat yellow like there’s no tomorrow… so finding a balance is harder than it looks. e.g.: I used 80% yellow against 20% red here. O_o

Gottah love the orangy contrasts though – used no black, only a blue/green mix.
